USONA
Creative Director & Experiential Producer
Usona is a light hologram and ambisonic sound centerpiece created in collaboration with Ramlow/Stein Architects and Promega for the main hall of the Usona Novel Therapy and Research Center. Mounted on a motor, the installation functions as a chandelier when dormant and transforms into a 3D cinematic visual and sound experience when in use.
I led a team of generative content creators and volumetric sound artists working alongside the Usona team of scientists and therapists to craft four forty-five-minute experiences. The video art was produced generatively so geometries grow continuously rather than loop, and a custom UI/UX equipped with emotional valence graphs gave therapists complete control of the visual and auditory environment during group therapy sessions.
This experience is the first of its kind in North America, bridging the worlds of legal therapeutic psychedelic medicine and volumetric media.
